Based on the book by David Sammel

“Bespoke presentations and workshops relevant to your needs. What you need to gain ‘the edge’.”

Locker Room Power presentations are inspirational and practical. They are based on my book and used in conjunction with interactive tools, they motivate participants by building mental strength, self-belief and confidence giving them ‘the edge’ in everything they do. The presentations feature serious messages often using role-play and true stories to illustrate themes.

1. Interactive presentations (1-2 hours):
Outlines and explains the Locker Room Power concept amongst other useful tools to take away and apply. These are tailored to the client or event.

2. Workshops:
Geared towards high achievers, athletes, teams and coaches, the workshops get into every aspect of creating an edge. These require a minimum of three hours, but mostly run for one to three days because we work together to examine every aspect of a client’s requirements to ensure they have the tools to gain the edge.

3. Consultancy:
Focus is on creating an environment and culture that forms a strong identity to take forward. This is a commitment of a minimum of six days over three months.
The preparation for workshops and consultancy is vital to ensure an understanding of the existing philosophy and culture. We then work through the Locker Room Power process to implement additional ‘edge’ into what is often an already successful environment. We work in partnership with the client to encourage like-minded practices into common practices, ensuring a tough mentality is ‘the norm’.

Bolton Wanderers Football Club

This workshop explained the LRP formula to the Bolton Wanderers management and coaching staff and provided them with examples of LRP in other sports. It explored the weapons of their team and focused on the recruitment of players. Finally it reviewed the importance of following a process to improve LRP. Following the workshop the club adopted and worked on putting LRP into practice. LRP is associated with the ‘Allardyce Years’ and it is a credit to this team of people that learned from other sports and created a working environment which maximized their teams potential.

David gave a presentation to the key coaching staff and me. His style is direct, humorous and interesting. The content reflected a genuine understanding of top-level mentality and a key understanding of what is required to produce high performance on a daily basis – the hallmark for all great individuals and teams and people in pursuit of excellence.

Commonwealth Assisted Living

I used Dave’s concept of separating belief and confidence to help my sales directors who were struggling. It works!!! Dave’s concept has real life applications in both sport and business. Brilliant !!!

Greenhead College

David delivered a captivating ‘Locker Room Power’ presentation to our A Level Physical Education students. He left them with an interest in the mentality required to be successful in their sports and indeed an energised outlook on life. David made them think about their role in self-belief and how to assemble their ‘weapons’ to deal with the present. It was refreshing for our students to have the opportunity to navel gaze and apply sport psychology for their own benefit. David, please come back next year!

Mary Shepherd, Teacher

I thought the presentation was great. You had me gripped right from the start, there was never a dull moment and I’ll definitely be buying your book. The talk was gripping and informative, made me rethink the way I approach tournaments and how I deal with win/lose situations.

Fulham Football Club

This Locker Room Power Workshop focused on creating a strong identifiable team brand for Fulham Football Club including identifying individual and team weapons, creating team identity and supporting player induction into the team.

Dave gave a fantastic presentation on Locker Room Power and how to develop a strong team identity. He challenged our coaches and players to identify our strengths and use these as weapons to create fear in the opposition. Dave helped us review our current environment and supported us in creating a new winning environment.

Chelsea Football Club

A Locker Room Power Presentation was held at an away day for Chelsea Football Club coaching staff. Having spent a day observing both the first team and Academy facilities David delivered an interactive insight into the concept of LRP and new ideas that were easily integrated into an existing framework at the club to support both the coaches and players.

Everyone could identify with the presentation. We will certainly focus more on our weapons in future amongst other gems delivered on the day.
